Stage 1. Legal advice through the negotiations to purchase with local searches and checks carried out on a property prior to the private contract - Checks carried out at the relevant local authorities to ensure the specific use of a property is registered and that there are no local schemes, or debts that might affect a property investment.

Stage 2. Independent legal advice from an english speaking abogado (lawyer) on the private contract which upon signing, secures a property and is the point when a deposit is paid - The terms of the private contract are negotiated and agreed with the seller to ensure that you are buying what you think you are buying and there are no surprises.

Stage 3. Dedicated property consultancy advice up to and including the signing of the escritura - There are many issues to consider in the buying process from obtaining the national identity numbers to making sure that the funds are properly transferred at the signing of the escritura.
