There is no doubt that this is a superb setting with a steady flow of tourists visiting the monastery and the restaurant next door. The restaurant is not bad but only offers basic asturian cooking - try the fabada but make sure you take the afternoon off.

The obvious choice for this property is as rural tourism or even a small hotel. All this would be subject to planning permission which would require expert advice, but probably achievable.

The monastery opposite the house is a well renowned architectural delight but will have the affect, in pure property terms, of complicating the planning process as it is a highly protected building. Expert planning advice is essential.

It does still operate and monks are in residence although I don't think they make much of a noise!
